The Department of Law and Philosophy is a structural subdivision of the Higher School of Professional Education of the Presidential Academy of Public Administration named after Zhusup Abdrakhmanov.
The mission of the department is to ensure the training of qualified personnel of a new type with knowledge and competencies based on the introduction of relevant disciplines for the implementation of innovative effective higher education, as well as the creation of a unified educational platform in the field of digital jurisprudence, ensuring continuity and conditions for full-fledged lifelong learning for all levels of professional education.
The priority direction of the department is to improve the structure and content of educational programs implemented in accordance with the program for the development of scientific and educational activities of the Academy, the requirements of international standards and external consumers such as: the state, society, employers. The strategic goal of the development of the direction is to prepare qualified lawyers in the field of public service, ready for professional growth, personal self-realization and competition in the labor market.
The department, as its main strategic task in terms of educational and methodological work in accordance with the strategic goals of the Academy, involves the modernization of the educational process, including the development of new forms of training (distance learning), programs and standards, the introduction of new educational technologies and systems for supporting learning and continuing education. Particular attention will be paid to organizing methods for testing professional competencies (tests, cases, business games, presentations, etc.).
This will be achieved through:
- modernization of the educational process, including the development of new educational forms, programs and standards, the introduction of new educational technologies and learning support systems, the development of international cooperation in the system of lifelong education using distance learning;
It is necessary to ensure continuous improvement of the quality of the developed bachelor's training programs in the field of " Jurisprudence ", taking into account the debugging of each stage of the development trajectory of students' general cultural and professional competencies. For these purposes, when developing bachelor's training programs, it is practiced to update test questions and assignments to assess professional competencies.
The program also includes the debate club “Team of the Academy” and the student scientific course “Adilet”, conducted by teachers of the department. These clubs and scientific courses are formed from 1st and 2nd year students studying in the specialty "Lawyer".
