About the Academy

The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter referred to as APAPKR) is the only specialized educational institution in Kyrgyzstan in the field of training management personnel for state and local self-government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic.

APAPKR is a high scientific and educational potential and highly qualified teaching staff, leading local and foreign lecturers and experts, ample opportunities for internships and continuation of their studies abroad.

APAPKR is innovative master's degree programs in Public and Municipal Administration, Economics and Management, developed in accordance with National State Educational Standards and incorporating the best achievements of world leading educational institutions, such as: French National School of Administration (ENA), Graduate School of Public Administration of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, The Bavarian School of Public Policy.

APAPKR is over 150 teaching staff, of which more than 20 are Doctors of Sciences and professors, 70 PhD (Candidates of Sciences) and associate professors. We are taught by professional practitioners with significant experience in management work, as well as teachers with foreign education and significant experience in coaching.

APAPKR is 4 educational buildings in the administrative center of Bishkek; auditoriums equipped with multimedia equipment; modern conference rooms equipped with video conference equipment; 5 computer classes with the latest software; library; sports sector; dining room; student hostel; resort house on the Issyk-Kul lake.

APAPKR pursues an active policy aimed at the formation and development of youth initiatives. To develop students and trainees of the Academy of leadership qualities, creative abilities and the formation of a well-founded patriotic civic position, the Student Union was created, which includes: "Creative Sector", "Volunteer Sector", "Scientific Sector", "Debate Club", "Sports Sector", "Environmental Sector", as well as public lectures with the participation of prominent political and public figures, representatives of diplomatic missions and recognized experts.

Among the graduates of the Academy there are many famous people throughout the country: top-level managers, deputies, heads of enterprises, organizations and institutions, those who care about the present and tomorrow of our country, the effective functioning and development of the economy, social and spiritual sphere, represent the interests of Kyrgyzstan in the international arena.

Training highly qualified specialists for state bodies, organizations and local self-government bodies, as well as providing scientific and analytical support for the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, public authorities and local self-government bodies’ activities.
