Training in Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania – ESGCA Erasmus+ project

From 23 to 28 March, Erkayim Mambetalieva and Chynara Ainekenova participated on training at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania, within the framework of the Regional Project "ESGCA - Breading Environmental Challenges, Societal Needs and Good Governance in the Education and Employment Sectors of Central Asia" of the European Commission's ERASMUS+ program on the topic "ESG Agenda and European Values".
The training covered the following topics:
- Social sustainability and the role of ESG in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- Local business for the development of local communities: best practices in implementing ESG in the private sector. Examples of best practices: how companies can integrate ESG into their business models, how businesses and academic institutions can collaborate to align ESG efforts with global sustainable development goals;
- Combining corporate responsibility and social sustainability in achieving the SDGs;
- Linking ESG to SDG 10: reducing inequalities through education and research;
- The role of higher education in advancing SDG 4: Quality education for all;
- Engaging students and staff in community-based projects that align with the SDGs, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups.
